Germany will phase out nuclear power by 2021.

“The German government has agreed on a roadmap for phasing out nuclear power. All of the country's 17 nuclear plants are to go offline by 2021, with a possible one-year extension for three reactors should there be the risk of an electricity shortfall.”

P.S.- I know nothing about nuclear reactors or the technology. However, I have an entirely uninformed observation. By the looks of all of that steam churning out of each reactor seems to me that if they are ALL discontinued and a new technology replaced them that did not contribute to global warming… it would be a boon for this Earth.
