|In today's job market, it's obvious that companies want their employees to be fit, and young.
Well, I can't become younger (I'm 58), but I CAN get fit.
I recently learned that the quote "Work Hard / Play Hard" refers to a young culture in the company, so here goes........
I have been 111 lbs (I'm 5' 1") and I had more energy that I could believe. I was 44 at the time, but then my new DH was thinking I was too thin, so he played "jewish momma" and kept saying "eat something!"
Then, 6 years ago I moved to Calgary and didn't have a car so I walked everywhere. and lost 40 lbs without dieting.
I wasn't able to find work (2 weeks after moving to Calgary, the company that had hired me let me go for "lack of work". So, I gained weight.
4 years ago when my daughter got married, I lost a whole bunch of weight via exercise at the gym and eating right. People were saying "wow" about my figure........
I got a job for 2 1/2 years and Loved it there....... but someone else's job became redundant and they were 1 year senior to me, so I became redundant and depressed.......... stopped going to the gym (3x / week) and here I am, two years later........ back over 200 lbs again.
I go to this site to monitor what I eat, but get "down" and don't put in my food monitoring as I should.....
Let me know if you want to "Pal" with me, so we can be supports for each other!
I want to look as thin as I did on my daughter's wedding day....
