Thank you, Larry & Wilma! We enjoyed so much that you shared your life with us! I truly enjoyed sampling German food as it is one cuisine I know very little about. Your yard and flowers are lovely. Larry's guided tour of the Amana's was astounding. I was overwhelmed by the dedication in preserving them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I really miss these guys; so much fun! |

How lovely! I'm bound to get there one day. Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket? |

Awwwwwww........ My favorite doggy in the whole world. Home again home again, whew!!! What a wonderful trip. Now if I can only get my gazillion pictures loaded.... |

Tapping foot and waiting . . . |

Just keep tapping. You know how many photos I took?? Somewhere around 500. Bet y'all didn't know Iowa had so many wonderful photo ops, did you? Or maybe you did, you just kept it all well hidden. Still sorting. I have to finish a Spotlight article first, one for publishing tomorrow. Then I will write about my GIG experience..."Life as an Icicle in Iowa".....(teasing of course). And then I want to write about the Amanas and our visit with Larry and Wilma. And then I must write about Arlene's unbelievable food. I will be glued to the computer for days. I have such beautiful memories. |

I look forward to reading all about it! |

Great photos, Arlene. Thanks for sharing. While Arlene is tapping and Sharon is writing, I'll jump into the breech with a few photos of my own. Here is my very favorite--Sharon at a pond in the woods near our home. Such a beautiful expression of sheer joy! ![]() Sharon and I traipsed along the water's edge, discovering wild strawberries, black raspberries, blackberries, May apples, and a host of other native plants. Sweet memories! Ahhhhhhhh...look at Arlene, cool as can be, and me in a dozen layers of clothes. Thank you, Larry. (still writing...) |

Thanks for the memories, Larry. You and Wilma were such great hosts to Sharon and I. I'll never forget all I learned about the Amana's from you . . . well maybe some. |
