We have been seeing Mockingbirds in the Prairie Fire Crabapple tree that is planted a few feet from my livingroom window. They are eating all the crabapples left on the tree. I have seen all sorts of birds eat the crabs before, but this is the first year for Mockingbirds. I consulted multiple bird guides, and that has to be what they are. Odd thing is we usually see more than one at time, and I don't think they are normally flocking birds. But, maybe 3 do not make a flock. Rolling my eyes.

Saw our Canada Goose pair arrive on our pond a few days ago. I think it is the same pair that nest there every year. Poor things, pond is frozen over, no where to swim or eat.
