Thanks for inviting me. This looks like fun- and dangerous! I'm particularly interested in perennials hardy in zone 5, as I am trying to resurrect a very old, large, formerly great (but not famous, lol) garden in New England. And of course, the budget is not up to getting it done in a hurry. So I need workhorses, not wimps, even if some of them may be borderline invasive. Of course, where that border is nobody really knows...

Anyway, it's a great project, lots of work and lots of fun, and I'm looking forward to whaver you bring on next to help me in my task.

It is both! Fun and Dangerous!!! I told my DH that I wasn't buying anything past April. Well, not true....there are few more things I NEED to get :) Oh my!!!! are you in England? I didn't notice if you were. I've got a few work horses around the house here that you might be interested in that I'm sure are good in zone 5.

1-Achillea Millefolium white - ferny foliage...white blooms, takes sun or part shade.
2-Viola - purple blooms - takes sun or shade.
3-Liriope out the yin/yang.
4-Ivy...forgot the name....but beautiful white edges
5-Variegated VincaVine
6-Crinums (they die back in winter for me but always come back with vengeance)
to name a few

Let me know if you are interested in any of this.
