Name: Angie
North Carolina (zone 7)
Our across-the-street neighbor died some weeks ago and he had converted his yard into one huge garden, front and back. No grass at all, just filled with good plants. His estate administrator is having a yard sale on June 10 and June 11, beginning at 10 AM and ending at dark. You bring your own shovel, pots and shovel operators Hilarious! and sign a release as the property is weedy and once people start digging plants up, there will be holes everywhere.

A partial listing includes roses (hybrid, climbing, carpet, shrub), daphne, lenten ross, deutzia, viburnums, daylilies, oak leaf hydrangeas, dogwood, mock orange, crape myrtle, magnolias, azaleas, boxwoods, fothergillas, forsythia, rhodies, mahonias, pieris, spriea, asters, astilbe, coreopsis, iris, lavender, dianthus, phlox, peonies, grasses, barberry, bulbs, rare herbs, etc. I called to ask her prices and examples she gave were that lenten roses will be $3 each, huge daphnes $10. There will also be garden tools, pots, art, etc.

The address is 1610 Eastwood Drive, Kannapolis, NC. The name of the contact person is Diane (Dee) DeVore and her phone number is (704) 784-1925. If you're close by, this is a sale not to miss!
I think that if ever a mortal heard the voice of God it would be in a garden at the cool of the day. ~F. Frankfort Moore, A Garden of Peace
