Hello Sandra....enjoyed your article! I would comment that I've found that if you float the seeds as soon as the pod splits open,....the gemination rate is exceptional and quicker than "dried" seeds. I've been propagating hippeastrums from seed this way for several years and was finally able to see my 1st adult grown from seed - bloom this year! Lee
