Lots of my untagged hoyas are starting to bloom....and here is one. I have no idea. I thought it might be H. weyettii but the corona color is much different....and the shape of the pedicels....I think. Anyone have a clue?
LOL, Carol ... I have no clue really but am wondering if H. kentiana is a possibility? I have a couple of wayetti that are Exotic Angel plants and they always label them H. kentiana. I think it was Lee Anne who said the kentiana has foliage just like wayettii only no dark stripes along the edge.
I think I read somewhere that there is a debate re: wayettii and kentiana being one and the same? I know when I first got my EA plants they had no brown edges on the foliage ... the dark edges didn't appear until I moved them to a lot of sun.
This one has had some intense sun and the foliage is really red:
It's been stormy and rainy here all day but I ran out and pinched off a stem of the wayetti plant to take a picture of the back of the leaves for comparison.

Not sure it is either H. kentiana or H. weyettii. Do your leaves have recurved margins? Mine's leaves aren't so long and narrow...tho' that is hardly a difference.... Just went back and checked the petioles against the ones on Dom's bloom....mine are green while his are quite dark. too much dfference....
Carol,
While I visited...you sent me home with H. sp. 12 Like wayetii...mine is blooming now and looks like your photo.
Here's a comparison to H. wayetii is on the right.
