| Well, spring is almost over in my neck of the woods and I've been wanting some new cuttings since winter ! Is anybody interested in a swap or round robin ? I have no idea how to organize one or get one started, but let's just see if anyone is interested, yes ? I'm all ears....  |

| Paula, if I understand a round robin, 1st person takes cuttings and mails to someone then that person takes out what they want and adds in and mails to someone and so on. If this is the way it works I would think that it wouldn't be good for the hoyas if there happens to be cuttings someone doesn't want. Maybe this isn't how it works, if not please correct me. I like the idea of a hoya 'swap': the organizer takes all names and then randomly pairs them up as to sender/recipient. Everyone gets a name to send their cuttings to....whatever they can spare. The cuttings are less time in the mail and everyone 'wins'....  Leap. The net will appear. |

Alright, alright - you talked me into it  I think I can figure out the details of a blind swap. So, today being June 2, let's say that the last day for sign-up for the swap is Sunday June 6th. Sign-up means that you'll post on this thread that you'd like to be included and you also send ME a c-mail with your mailing info, so that I can pass that onto your swap partner and you can get your box !! Monday my son will draw names out of a hat for swap partners, I'll c-mail each person their necessary details and off you go ! Post back on the thread once you've sent your box WITHOUT adding your partner details. And post back again when you recieve your box. At that time you'll already know the identity of your swap partner, so no more secrecy is required, unless requested.... Review: 1. Sign up by Sunday, June 6 2. C-mail me your addy info 3. Check your c-mail Monday/Tuesday for partner info 4. Chop available hoyas and mail to partner 5. Await your box  So, being a blind swap - you will not know who your swap partner is until you recieve your box. There is no minimum or maximum on the amount of cuttings you can send to your partner. Let's just try to be as generous as we can afford and make this a great swap ! Hoyas = happiness, right ?!?  Alright - did I miss anything ? And who else is in ?!? |
