Anyone help me on this one.? I have it as H quinquenervia, but not sure if its labelled correctly?? Plant didnt bloom until I rooted this bit that broke off, and its just flowered in the propagator Any ideas?
I dont see that Lee Anne...they dont all start together at the base. But, Ive just been reading in ps The Hoyan that the holotype was destroyed in WW2 bombing, and theres no other record, so it dosent look like we'll ever know . Hey ho
Hmm, I wonder if it might be this one, looks close to me. I got this from Joni labeled as H. hellwigiana. It hasn't bloomed yet but there is new growth.

Dee...are the leaves in the background the same as that leaf you took a photo of? They look different. The ones in the back can be hellwigiana...but the ones in front look to be pinnate venation.
Yep carol, they are from the same stem. The ones in the back are newer leaves and the ones in the front are older. More sun exposure on the older ones?

Interesting....seems CMB once snarled about that...the two names seems to go together, merrillii...Love the leaves but the flowers were never on my top 10 list.

Dom...what's the current status. Will look in my files for flower comparison (once again I am paying attention to photo files)...love the photo of the single bloom...lovely lost and found edges...
