Perpetually happy!
From a description I found:
Quoting:The five parallel nerves seems to all originate from the same point at the leaf base

I dont see that Lee Anne...they dont all start together at the base. But, Ive just been reading in ps The Hoyan that the holotype was destroyed in WW2 bombing, and theres no other record, so it dosent look like we'll ever know . Hey ho

hmmm...I suppose it depends on a persons interpretation of "starting together at the base".

Either way it is a beauty you have there!! I love, love, love those leaves!!!

It's all about choices.
I got a hoya like that from DL simply labels sp. IML 1420 aff. latifolia. Let me bring a leaf in a check with your picture.... Confused

Hmm, I wonder if it might be this one, looks close to me. I got this from Joni labeled as H. hellwigiana. It hasn't bloomed yet but there is new growth.

What are your thoughts?

Dee I tip my hat to you.

Dee...are the leaves in the background the same as that leaf you took a photo of? They look different. The ones in the back can be hellwigiana...but the ones in front look to be pinnate venation.

Yep carol, they are from the same stem. The ones in the back are newer leaves and the ones in the front are older. More sun exposure on the older ones?

When I first saw the flowers I thought of merrillii... I only have a cutting of it so I haven't seen the flowers IRL, but the leaves are like yours.

Interesting....seems CMB once snarled about that...the two names seems to go together, merrillii...Love the leaves but the flowers were never on my top 10 list.

I really like the leaves, Dom, and would love to have the plant. But not knowing for sure how would one go about ordering it!
