What are the optimum growing conditions for Hoya campanulata? I know to grow moist. What is the highest temp is it OK with? How much light? I have it growing in a covered patio (well into the patio) in Western Colorado- I mist it every time I see it. In July, it's about 95 degrees on the patio. It gets good airflow. Thanks, kv

I am growing mine on the deck under shade cloth but is still very bright and I keep it moist. The temps here have already reached 98 but with the heat index (humidity) it has soared up to 105 on some days. I has new growth and a penducle already. I am in the panhandle of Florida, north of Panama City.

It's all about choices.
In the list of growing conditions I got from David Liddle, it says it was found at the edge of a forest, so it needs warmth, moisture and bright indirect light... Works for me...

Thanks so much, Dee2 and Carol, for your helpful hints. Growing hoyas in dry Colorado is a challenge, but the ones I have outside on my covered patio seem to really like it. But sometimes when it hits 100, I feel sorry for them and bring some of them inside. I'm such a softie.KayV

It just occured to me...MOISTURE!!!! If you can figure out an attractive way (for you) to have wet/damp spagnum moss around your plants...say, sitting in water...the evaporation will help the dryness and maybe you could make it look like a jungle????? Wet sheet are harder to use... Whistling

Have you seen one of those misting fans. They are kinda tall,(stand fan) and you can attach a garden hose up to it, this will give you some mist on very dry days.
