Ive got a small cutting of this going and a few weeks back this plant arrived in my local nursery. DS-70 I thought? , and flowering I think it confirms it, tho there are so many Hoyas floating around labelled as .H tsangii, H bilobata, and they all look so similar.....probably are the same...but this plant has no scent.......Isnt this supposed to be a fragrant Hoya or is it not H DS-70?

Dominic,

It sure looks like ds-70 to me. It should also have a fairly strong scent of butterscotch in the cool of the evening - at least mine does to my nose.

Dom: Congrats, that is a gorgeous plant!

I had three or four very large DS70's for a few years, that all froze last winter. Your plant looks identical to the one's I had. The first time my plants bloomed I could not detect any fragrance at all. Later blooms seemed to have a heavy scent (late afternoon and evening.) DS70 is one plant that I did not like the fragrance at first, it smelled kinda musty ... but it grew on me and I did come to like the scent.

There is supposedly a variegated one. Anyone see it before? If so, can you tell me where I can find it?

Thanks,

Dee

I've never seen or heard of a variegated form of ds-70. I love variegated foliage so I bet it's pretty!

I saw a picture of it on Antone's page, but since he sold up no telling where there might be one now.
Sad
