I dont really know how to do those things either ... I buy mine on ebay.. I think they are around 7 bucks which includes the shipping... so you cant beat that either....

I got a bunch of synthetic macrame rope from a recycler for very cheap... going to make these and other simple hangers

I made this plant hanger with rope and some salvaged wood. The H. pubicalyx 'Pink Silver' likes to twine around the line but it has not been too terrible a problem. I actually like the way it looks. I'm going to attach a pully to the top to make watering and fussing about easier.
