They can look very similar Lee Anne.
MJ, how do you find D pectinoides ? I've tried that plant, both the the plain one, and the beautiful variagated one, and I just cant get it to grow and survive. Its a beautiful plant when it grows well. The Shell dischidias are painfully slow, I agree

Lee Anne, Yes some do look very much like Hoya's !
Dom....D. pectinoides grows like a weed for me.
I broke off a piece accidentally while trying to "tame' it a bit, and just stuck it in some sphagnum moss and it took off like a bandit also. Mine has produced seed pods as well and they germinated very easily. I give them very bright light, just short of direct sun, let them dry out, fertilize as I do the Hoya's and everyone get's a misting with Superthrive once a month also.

I think I'd kill for the Variegated pectinoides !! Drooling Drooling Drooling

Dom, If I get more seed pods I will definitely share. Don't know their "Shelf" life. As soon as the pods opened I pressed them fuzz and all onto moist sphagnum moss. I could barely see the seeds even with my glasses on !

Julie, Lee Anne, I recycle alot of stuff to use as planters.
Here's my Crocodile Fern in another strainer.
