It's all about choices.
I received this years ago as H. schneei from DL. With Ted having collected the real schneei a couple of years ago, and it having bloomed and matched the type sheet...the 'logical' conclusion is that this old H. schneei would be H. leucarhoda - but it isn't! Leucarhoda has red in the corona. This doesn't. The leaves, however, DO look like both of them with a long apex. Any help would be welcome.... Big Grin Thumb of 2011-09-09/AlohaHoya/665353

It looks just like my schneei and leucorhoda... when both mine had bloomed I was told that the leucorhoda sold in Sweden was schneei. I potted them both together and now I don't know which one is which!

Flowers from my plant and I think this was the schneei-part when it bloomed for the first time:

I also did a mixed photo with schneei and sp. Tanna (when this bloomed very pale):

But the schneei is a small green hairy flower, very much like chlorantha but different. ??? Your flower is pretty Carol, see if it blooms with red center next time maybe.??

I have both H. leuchorda (IML0518) and H. schneei (from Botanova just last Summer). H leuchorda should have flowered by now, being 4 years old. Maybe if it gets more light it'll flower for me.

I guess I'll just have to wait for them both to flower to be able to tell for sure. Glad I have hobbies... like raising hoyas... Big Grin
