OK...this is not flower oddity but concerns leaves!!!

How in the world is it possible to make an ID using leaves when things like this happen?Thumb of 2011-11-11/AlohaHoya/97642a

As you can see...they are growing from the same node!!!! The base and the apex match...but the rest? This was in a tray Thelma knocked down looking for fertilizer...tags all askew... Mother nature does her best....eh?
