Just a bit of News of the Hoya World, Monina Siar - a charming Philippine botanist and collector of hoyas, (H. siariae) passed away recently. She had suffered a long long time with breast cancer. She took us all to lunch when we visited her and was always so dear. She will be missed!
So sorry to hear of this passing - Ms. Siar was a luminary in the Hoya universe.
My condolences to her family at their loss. Perhaps they will take some comfort in knowing that people all over the world know her work and benefited from it.
