Perpetually happy!
The power was off today from 10am until just a few minutes ago. A day of freezing rain (yesterday) followed by snow all day today, took out some hydro lines. With the temps at -5C and going down to -19 tonight I was mighty worried.

Actually, this old house is really good at retaining heat. It didn't get much below 60F in here with no heat for 9 hours and -5C outside.
I don't know what I woulda done about the plants if it ever came to that. there's too many of them...

You can't 'un-ring' a bell.
Heating system on the fritz at the office. 34c! ick. Then drops right down to hand numbing cold! Reminds me of a woman going thru "the change" Whistling

Glad your DH took good care of you, 3G.

Lee Anne, and all our Canadian friends, too cold for man or beast! Hope all is well with all your plants. In our power outage during the Oct. snow storm we lost a few plants so I know what it's like.
