Hi Hoya Lovers,
My heuschkeliana has some mottled yellow leaves. It is growing well and is receiving southern exposure in my master bath. I am uploading several pics. Hope you can help.

Thanks,

It's all about choices.
I've thought about thisfor a while...have no idea. Could be lack of something....do you fertilize it? Are you using city water?

A bit blurry but...looks like you may have leaf miners?
Hold them up to the light and see if you can notice a dark spot in each yellow spot...make sense?
The way to get rid of them is to remove the leaf and dispose of them.

AlohaHoya,
I received a response from a DGer who recommended moving it to a warmer location and providing more humidity. I've done that. I'm wondering if it got sunburned. It did get some very bright sunlight sitting in my bathroom. I fertilize it with well water that has 1/4 tsp/gal of Foliage-Pro 9-3-6 each time I water which is about every 5 days.
Our community water company does not put chlorine in the water. Could it have gotten too cold. Subsequent growth does looks fine.

SRQHoyas-
I checked for black spots in the yellow and didn't find any. It doesn't appear to be spreading to leaves further along the vine.

What a mystery!

Thanks to you both for your help.

I wouldn't worry Linda...hoya (and other plants) plants go thru stuff in their little worlds and unless it's fungus or a bug, I wouldn't worry, really. "hoochies" can actually take a lot of light (mine gets full sun all morning) and they do like humidity and warmth. If it were the whole plant or a whole side of the plant I would worry.....

Congratulations on growing such a nice looking plant...it can't be easy in the dry conditions..... Hurray!

Thanks for the pep talk. I do have a whole house humidifier that keeps the air at 35-40% 24/7....any higher than that and the house becomes too humid for us humans. I also mist all my hoyas daily. I have eleven hoyas (each one a different kind) and this is the only one thats had a problem. I'll stop fretting and go have a nice glass of vino Rolling my eyes.
