with the majority of listings on ebay for hoyas....and I hope that no one is going to fall for the misinformation found there: wrong names, misspelled names, names that don't exist. What happened. Ebay used to be a way to sell plants...honestly. OK...maybe there were a few odd ducks...but, not the barrage of c.r.a.p. on there tonight: H. rubia (oneof the carnosa cultivars)hahahahaha H. paziae (named from an herbarium sheet and not found to date. 99.9 chances it is H. cv. Iris Marie. ....Ifelt like I were watching a TV Commercial for steak knives!!! Where are the honest growers? The folks who spend the time to research and offer good plants? I guess hoyas became popular and everyone is trying to ride the gravytrain. BE CAREFUL!!! Anyone getting stung by these sellers should know better... Research what you are buying and BE SURE! Remember...there IS NO FREE LUNCH.If it seems ''too good to be true" .... it IS!!! ![]() Leap. The net will appear. |

Caveat Emptor seems to rule the day! OH well, perhaps it IS an opening for an honest buyer. I told a seller that their H. Silver Pink was 1. a H. pubicalyx and 2. it was either RHP or Red Buttons and they wrote back that I should not question until I learned something about hoyas. So much for trying to help. EVERYone has gotten on the bandwagon to sell hoyas... Beware! ![]() Leap. The net will appear. |

How rude all you did was offer a simple suggestion. why would anyone respond like that. That is why I buy from reputable sellers. Like joni. Or gardino' s . Anything for a cheap buck. No wonder there is so much confusion in the hoya world ppl like that |

Didn't see that, Arralynn, but if there is that much discrepancy...!!! H. albiflora is not that common in collections and have never heard of a variegated form...not to say there isn't one... 3 years ago hoya sellers on Ebay took up about 2 pages...now it is endless! ![]() Leap. The net will appear. |

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Variegated-Hoya-albiflora/3213120944... I saw it is listing as "ended by the seller because there is an error in listing" ... I think someone let the seller know that it wasn't H. albiflora ... |
