Rescued this Hoya for someone who had neglected it for years. It was all overgrown with grass and had woven itself around all sorts of things. So I unwound it and pulled out all the grass roots that I could. It was flowering really well so I tried not to damage it too much in the process. Now it's set up with a support to climb, where grass can't get to it and still out in the sun most of the time. I took some clippings home and they're doing quite well. They're at the bottom of trees and have started to climb. Only thing is no ID. Can anyone help, thanks. ![]() ![]() New position for the original plant. ![]() |

I really want to say it's an H. carnosa... |

I would say you are RIGHT ![]() Just saw a Nat'l Geographic film (part of a series of 6) on the Islands of the S. Pacific and there were about 5 mins. in a certain place in Papua New Guinea...in 3 shots saw 2 hoyas and 1 dischidia (geri) and one of the hoyas was callistophylla. Interesting. Easier than slogging thru the jungle collecting!!!!! ![]() Leap. The net will appear. |

Thanks for that, I suspected it might be. One that I placed at the bottom of a tree is really rocketting up. Yes and no, Carol. Depends a bit whether it's lowland or highland jungle. But all the same, "that feeling" isn't there in the lounge chair. |

Ted also thinks it's H.carnosa. My guess would be after all the replies that's it's H.carnosa. Looks really pretty .Looking forward to watching that program Carol. Dorothy. |
