Can someone please advise regarding light, water, temp needs?
Also would like to know if it grows strong for others because mine is slow to grow and vines take long time to get strong despite fertilizer(foliar application dilute Orchid fertilizer and occasionally MSU).
Mine seems to dislike water too.

It's all about choices.
Is that the one they used to called Square Leaf? I don't keep track of these new ones really well.

Hi Alka, I grow mine outside in my entryway (has a roof) but open on 3 sides...mine gets plenty of bright light (NO direct sun). I let it dry out slightly before watering thoroughly and I fertilize mine at half strength about every 10 days...I left it there last winter and only brought it inside when the temps dip below 45 degrees at night and it did fine there last here.

Mine started out slow when it was small but once it got established started to take off. I wouldn't say its a fast grower though...maybe somewhere in the middle not too fast but not a slow grower either. At least that's been my experience.

AH. I have a small one which sure doesn't like soggy feet....I am going to repot it soon into an even looser mix. Doesn't seem to mind the high indirect light...

Thanks Carol and Nancy.
Good to know it will pick up the pace. May be then it will also bloom. May be I should move mine outside since it is not raining heavy and daily any more (hope I do not jinx the weather).
Yours is really beautiful, Nancy. Does it bloom yet?

Mine did nothing for 2 years except not die. Then it grew a new leaf, but a few months later that died. I then repotted it into S/H this spring, and then gave it the "sink or swim" treatment in mid-summer, I took it outside. It got very bright light, and some dappled mid-day sun. Within a few weeks it shot out a little vine. The vine's about 5" now and its really happy indoors in a north facing window. Sooooo slow, yes, but it will grow up with a little encouragement. You just have to find out what the encouragement is for your geographical area. I think it likes to be cool, as I left the bunch of hoyas outside far beyond when I should have, and the temperature dipped as low as 6C one night (about 40F I think). And the sun room doesn't get overly warm.

It sure would be nice to see it with more leaves though!
