Does anyone grow this? I would like to try growing this one. Unsure if they would root indoors at this time of year but I read it is easy to root.Would it be better to wait till spring?
I would love to get starters if anyone got them. Please let me know.
Thanks.

Editing to add- Just found some nurseries that sell these. Almost Eden and Logees.......no need for starters now.

Umm.....just read that flowers have an unpleasant scent!
Does anyone know?
If it smells offensive, I would rather not get it.

Hi Alka...my ceropegias have bloomed numerous times and I detected no scent whatsoever. I also find them very difficult to root, so if you root some, please share with me how you did so. Thanks! Fondly, Patrick

Neither of these have a scent.
Patrick, I root C. woodii, sandersonii and ampilita easy in a mix of perlite and vermiculite. Outdoors in the greenhouse in summer, indoors under lights in the winter.

Thanks so much, MJ....my ceropegias are over 8 feet long..I'd love to cut them back and root the cuttings. They're so delicate, and the hoyas twine around them rapidly and constantly. I sure will try using your method...again, thanks!! Fondly, Patrick

Patrick,in the spring you could try taking a long cutting and laying it in a circle in your pot.It will root all a long the vine.

Thanks for info on the scent and rooting. I called nursery this morning and was told there is no scent. Came across some interesting sites about these plants-http://www.sagereynolds.com/cero/cedex.htm

Lovely pictures on Flickr!
Garden web also has some discussion on these plants and there are couple more sites but I did not save info about them.

Here's one of mine...I had to drape it across a plant hook to keep it off the floor.

That is beautiful MJ. Would it have difficulty blooming if you trim it to keep vines a bit shorter ? Does sandersonii grow as big as this one?
