Here is a nice picture of Hoya megalantha, blooming with it's 1.1/2 inch flowers. This easy grower blooms maybe 3 times a year for us![]() Dorothy. |

Beautiful Dorothy!! ![]() ...and I'd love to hear how you grow yours. ![]() I've been working mine out for 3 years now - and I think I may have finally cracked it! I have peduncles forming - but no buds...yet... |

Very lovely flowers Dorothy! Thanks to Julie I have a very nice specimen growing in hydroton and eagerly await flowers - hopefully in the not to distant future. I have found however, for some weird reason, this plant for me is an absolute magnet for spider mites. Doug |

RE. H. megalantha. we have so many different kinds of bugs, mites, everything attacks everything. haven't noticed spider mites particularly. The flower is a lot like H. patella, but it's fragile looking rather than the robust, shiny porcelain look of patella flowers. the leaf is different from leaves of patella. We grow it under some cover, but plenty of light, but lately it's overcast all the time so not as much light as we would like. ![]() Dorothy. |
