Goodness...guess I will have to go first.... H. coriacea - this was wild collected and is really a strongly growing hoya DHs' hand in the picture for scale.
Another one of my favorites...H. sp. Ban Ngong Noy...similar to H. pubicalyx - very reliable bloomer!
Both look gorgeous , Carol. Specially coriacea with it's dramatic color contrast. Looks like spring got an early start in Hawaii.
We had almost a week of cold weather again ,recently....not so cold for people in north.
I have flowers on australis ssp tenuipes (looks just like other australis flowers but scent is lighter...probably due to colder weather). Do not have the picture to post .
I also have buds on pubicalyx pink silver but they are growing slower compared to summers.

Olesya..I'm not sure what the difference is. Visually they are very similar while the leaves are not as enlongated...almost carnosa like. The difference is probably in some detail of the corona... I borrowed the statement from David Liddle who thought they were very similar and I just tagged along.
When the days start getting longer is it very apparent in the greenhouse... new growth just burths forth...lots of buds forming on the pottssiis, H. pubicalyx 'Black Dragon' (for the first time in 3 years and I believe they are not even black...disappointed in this purchase from the Philippines...not again!) and some others. Even my H. telesmoides is bout to bloom!!!
They are (H. sp. Ban Ngong Noy and H. pubicalyx) both beautiful! I really want to see H. telesmoides bloom (maybe you can post later on for everybody to see). I haven't heard about this plant before.

OH...MY BAD!. It's not telesmoides that's going to bloom, it's trigonolobas... always confuse them.....
Alka...don't you love H. australis! It is one of my all time favorites...reliable bloomer and a real 4 wheel drive hoya!!! I grow my Australian hoyas dry in the winter....and about now I start watering when the days start getting longer...everyone is waking up... H. australis, H. macgillivrayi, H. archboldiana has a bunch of buds and the pottsiis are swelling. It is SOOOOOOO much fun.
Thanks for posting all of the gorgeous blooms. It gets difficult here in the north during winter....I spent hours at a large greenhouse yesterday...thousands of tropical plants, many of them in full bloom. I had to stop and smell every orange and lemon tree..fabulous fragrance. I also visited the same greenhouse last week...can't get enough of it..but, it helps to ease the frustration of these cold and dreary Michigan winters. Yes, of course, I bought lots of plants...the most exciting is 'Medinilla magnifica'..simply incredible blooms...like wisteria, but the blooms hang down over a foot. Hang in there, Northeners...spring is on it's way! Fondly, Patrick

Patrick...Medinilla grows epiphytically in the wild....I have it growing in the crotch of a tree! Will send you pictures! Take a look at the Medinilla miniata - leaves are over a foot long and the flowers are red!

Really exciting today in the Greenhouse.... H. sp. Philippines, IML 0831
H. tannaensis...blooming now for over a month...
H. australis ssp. tenuipes 'Kapoho'....
Now...this just thrills me: this is H. subglabra: I posted a photo of the buds last month (I think). This hoya bloomed once or twice for me in 7 years!!! I counted 27 umbels today...
and this is the flower. I didn't find a fragrance when I took the photo, and I will kill myself if I try to find it at night...so, just have to wonder
.....I checked later in the evening and the fragrance, then, is light and citrusy...really pleasant!!!!
Oh Alka, your red leaves are stunning It reminds me there is a sun out there somewhere - just that we haven't seen it for many many months...
It STILL raining in the UK - and the snow melt has left us sodden. I empty one of my greenhouses in winter, and venturing in there this week, discovered 2" water on the floor!! There is a steady strickle of water flowing across my garden....and it's filling the greenhouse up!
Carol, what lovely blooms! That H. sp. Philippines, IML 0831 is a real colour-riot!
..and I just love tannaensis
Congrats on your subglabra!! Its obviously saved itself for a 'BIG show'
