I guess we are seven days into March so someone has to start a new month. My imperialis has gone insane right now. I have counted 68 buds currently on the plant. Here are a couple of photos from this morning.

Haven't had any seed pods recently...except Eriostemmas! Actually have dug up about 5 seedlings I have found and am going to grow them out...the one volunteer that bloomed is such a winner!!!!!

Doug...want to know something funny? Those seeds I brought back from Borneo, grew them out...send you one. It is the ONLY SEEDLING THAT HAS BLOOMED!!!! Mine all just sat around and I threw them out!!!!
IMl 0006 australis ssp.australis.
This the very frist hoya I ordered with a group from DL.One bloom open.I have trouble with this many times until last summer I transfered it to S/H.
It was well worth the effort you put in Cindy, its lovely
My australis ssp australis took about 4 years to bloom. It's huge, and in the tiniest pot for it's size. I hardly water mine over winter, its left very dry and neglected.
Good job growing it Cindy. Flower looks a bit different than 2 australis I have. May be because it had hard time growing. Weather makes a difference since australis grows well here.
They smell real good. I sniffed at mine several times daily.

Cindy...where did you get that H. australis? I am really curious...and so is Ted Green who has never seen red on the tips of the corolla either. Was it David Liddle or a private trade? It may be a seedling...really interesting. I would love to track it down and congratulate the original owner....
