Hello there!

I just joined your group and I'm very happy to have found you!

I fell in love with hoyas in 1999 and have bought some awsome hoyas around the world since 1999, but unfortunatelly, I lost more than half of my collection when I got divorced, so I'm trying to build back my collection. If someone out there has a big collection and can spare a couple of cuttings, I sure would be gratefull.

Here's a small list of what I lost: Megalaster, Scortechinii, Benguitensis, Bordenii,Camphorifolia, Caudata, Darwinii, Eliptica, Kloppenburgii, Meliflua, Mitrata, Picta, Serpens, Siariae, sp Tanna, Thomsonii... So that's it...

Like I said, I'm just starting up again my collection, so I don't have many hoyas to trade, but I would be willing to pay for them.

So thanks a lot guys, and sorry for my poor English!!

It's all about choices.
Bri...good to meet you. Unfortunately, many of the ones you lost are 1) hard to get and 2) hard to grow. Also...shipping to Canada is a recipe for disaster (for the cuttings) ... customs likes to hold on to them for days!!! You should try K&G Hoyas...they are in Buffalo and you might be able to drive over and get them and if you bought more than one or two they might be reasonably priced. But, as I said...those are difficult Hoyas to grow and anyone would be totally justified in charging fortunes for them!!! A few aren't: tannaensis (sp. Tanna), camphorifolia....

Hi Bri,
Nice to meet you!!!
Sorry for your losses. I grow the majority of the plants on your list and have cuttings for sale as they come available. I also ship to Canada very often with no customs issues...although that could change at any time :0) I have found that shipping USPS Express Mail is the best way to get my cuttings abroad safely and quickly...with no guarantees of course.

Visit my website when you have a moment!

Hi Joni and Carol! thank you for your replies!

Carol, I bought a lot of my hoyas from you a couple of years ago!! I still have some that you sold me, but like I said, lost a lot... I'm really sad to learn that the most of the hoyas I lost are hard to grow and hard to get!! The one that I bought the most (and lost the most) was Megalaster... I never was able to keep it alive... the cuttings always died not long after receiving them...

Joni, I'll try to find some other collectors that live around here to see if they would be interested to order from you so we could split the shipping... $45 for me at this moment is a bit too expensive. I'll get back to you with that.

Has any one of you heard from Ann Wayman?? I heard she wasn't feeling to good last year... I was suppose to buy some cuttings from her this spring, but I never heard from her... I was kind of worried for her...

Ann has been quite ill and no one expected her to live much longer at all. But....apparently she is going to put out the next Fraterna...so that's good news. She has been very ill for a long time.
