Name: Carol Noel Hawaii (near Hilo) It's all about choices.
This hoya has a bad reputation...but I rather like it, at least this clone of it. H. diversifolia Anthony is a clone Ted Green collected...it blooms well for me....
And it flowers up in the top of the shadehouse....

....and for those who need a 4WD hoya...it is diversifolia! I have seen it growing on a tree in the sand on a beach in the Philippines...and thriving. This is one tough hoya...great for kids! It's like the Battery Bunny....
Hoya lobbii(dark form). All buds formed on this one I made sure not to overwater when the buds were small, but rather tried to keep it evenly moist by watering sections of the pot sparingly on different days.My moisture meter was between 4 and 5 while the buds were forming.
Kim, very pretty blooms. How did you get your Hoya samoensis to bloom? I will re-pot mine today using SH method...in 'stones'. Actually, First Ray's has all different sizes clear and white pots for SH potting... (a little bit off the topic..just in case I will forget later).
Carol,
There are a few flecks on the leaves, I grow it in more shade, the leaves get dark green, if I grow it in more light they are a lighter green.
The flowers are snow white, with a hint of pink here and there. I'm 90% sure I got this one from you about 2 years ago as a cutting. But I might be wrong.
Olesya,
I think time more than anything. This year it's put out tons of new growth, with a peduncle at every other node, ( It just flowered after 4 years )
Before that not much at all. I got lucky.
