Hoya talk forum: Large leaves this year

| Some of my plants have put out some huge leaves this year. (Well at least for me their big) none of my plants have ever given me leaves like this, I love it! H. rigida IML 1424.......... 7.5" long and 5" wide  H. monetteae.......... 9" long and 5" wide  H. cv. Noelle.......... 8.5" long and 6.5" wide  H. sp. Nong Nooch IML 1541.......... 12.5" long and 4" wide  The plants are all getting older, I think that has a lot to do with it. |

I've had the same experience, but I am convinced that its because we've had a good summer after the long dark dreary year we had last year. My plants are enjoying a little warmth and brightness  |

| maybe the radiation from the disaster at the nuclear plant in Japan last year has really made it around the world!!!! it seems that everyone is experiencing this thing with the new hoya growth growing to be extremely large. I have a number of hoyas that this has happened to this year as well. Some of them i'd bet are 3-5 times larger than normal |

| Don't know what it is, but it's gotta be something. All I know is some leaves that you didn't think could get that big, are, and are getting bigger. |

The same thing here....I purchased plants/cuttings with regular size leaves (last year)... the new leaves came out huge. I was thinking that it could be the new fertilizer, actually a couple of them, that I was playing around with.   Don't know... |
