Congratulations, Mitzi...you're doing a remarkable job with H. linearis...mine sulk badly during the hot summers, and perk up greatly in the winter. I still haven't gotten enough courage to take cuttings...so frightened that the cuttings will croak. I do have 3 in my cloning machine...they look okay, but certainly not great. I've found with rooting hoyas, some types don't perk up until they've struck roots...H. bicknellii comes immediately to mind....it remained totally dehyrated and wrinkled until it had sprouted roots...now it's growing vigorously. A lesson, never give up as long as the plant looks viable! Fondly, Patrick |
