| I had this bud blast problem with a number of Hoyas- callistophylla, kerrii, crassicaulis, cagaynensis and even pubicalyx. It is very frustrating. Now the plants have grown bigger, I do not see this as much. I think plants were not mature enough and did not like change from dry to suddenly having water. I transferred some of these hoyas(kerrii, crassicaulis ) in bigger pots when I saw they were root bound. Of course that meant no flowers for a while but later plants bloomed really well. Looks like some just need bigger leg room. Crassicaulis seems to actually love all the rain we have been getting. It drops buds when there is no rain for a few days. |
