| My questions - 1.Is it harder to root tip cuttings or the cuttings with new growth? In my case I find it harder but may be I can do better with the advise here. 2.When cutting comes with peduncle /s, I find that it would not produce new buds and if does, they drop without getting big enough. May be the peduncle does not have energy to support the buds and I am happy to wait but I find that they(preexisting peduncles) do not bloom later or are a late/poor bloomer. Is that just me or others have same experience. Is there a way to improve this situation? 3.In some plants, peduncles delay rooting so they are cut off to speed up rooting. For example- Plumeria. Is it better to trim off the peduncles to speed up rooting in hoya cuttings ? There are no stupid questions, right? :) |
