This photos was taken during the 2008 Hunting Season with the game cam on what we call Pig Road. Can't imagine how it got that name!

By the way, the tree stand is at the end of the road there and I'm sitting in it.

My handsome husband on another lease with 3 little pigs. They all rushed out when he was walking back toward the blind from doing "other business" and he took all three out in about 3 seconds. Said he felt like John Wayne! HAHAHA

Three pigs in three seconds is pretty sweet, is that a 30-30 he's holding?

Yep. It's his favorite gun! Belonged to his Dad before him.

He has said many times that it was one of the best hunts he's ever had.

That's awesome he's using his dads rifle. My wife uses a bolt action 30-30 I got for Christmas almost 40 years ago and she deadly with it!

It's neat that you hunt together. My husband and I have hunted birds together for about 10 years. I'm a pretty good shot with birds. Last year was the first time we've deer hunted together. There were some mornings that I just stayed in the camp when it was cold and rainy. I'm not THAT much of a die hard yet. But I had breakfast ready when he returned. That ought to be worth something! I did go out a few mornings though and enjoyed the hunting. Our generator blitzed on us right after the beginning of November. It is under warranty and they had it until about a week ago. Sure messed up the hunting season for us. We're looking forward to next year already!

That is adorable! They are so cute!!! i'm glad they didn't damage your camera. I have worried about squirrels and birds chewing on the boxes. They are only plastic. I've seen what the squirrels can do to a feeder (both corn in the field and the birdseed feeder in my back yard).

Here's one of my archery buck the first week of Nov. I had been hunting for him for four weeks before he showed up late one evening an started tearing up brush an trees, so I returned the next morning and got in my tree stand just fifteen minutes before he returned to finish what he had started, I got him at fourteen yards, with my PSE mohavie an beman carbon arrows tiped with Muzzy four blade 115 gr, love that set up!

What an awesome buck! I tip my hat to you.

Don't you love outsmarting the animals. He sure won't be messing with those trees anymore!

Can't wait to show hubby in the morning! Being a bow hunter, he will appreciate more the gear that you use also. You all get animals that we just don't see here in Southeast Texas.

Yes your absolutely right, I love to outsmart animals, I guess that's why I enjoy archery an spring gobbler hunting. The gobblers will be talking soon here in Pa, that always gets my heart going just to hear them. Here's my gobbler from last spring, 25 lbs 9 1/4 inch beard 1 1/18 spurs, he was one of four in that were in front of me that morning. That's some exciting stuff!

We always skin them so what we do is drape bacon over them an put apple inside it or a older one like this guy gets tough so I just fillet it an cut it into small pieces an marinate it in Italian dressing an grill it or throw it the crock pot. Mmmm good stuff.

I don't hunt but put out a game camera---see who is on my property! I thought you experienced types can give me an idea how old he is:

I'd guess around 2 1/2 years old, based on chest, neck an head. He has a beautiful rack, at 3 1/12 years old he'll get some larger mass to his horns an a larger body. I'm just guessing though, not many make it past 2 1/2 in my area, but when they do they become mostly nocturnal.

What a beautiful buck! I had to really look for him in the face to face photo. He was camo'ed very well. What part of the country are you in?
