It is February 9, 2014. This is one of the worst winters I can remember. I am completely frustrated with having to be inside much of the time due to the ground being covered with ice and frozen snow. Here are some shots of what the ice storm did to the farm this past week. It took three pickup loads to clean up this mess. Then there was more snow to deal with. Poor Rob just keeps on plowing and cleaning up. We are all fortunate we did not loose power and we are all safe and warm. I just wish winter would go away. Barn yard after plowing was completed.  Baby trees after the storm  The good news is, the black pussy willow are turning a brilliant burgundy and pushing catkins. The bad news is, they are predicting snow for this afternoon and evening as well as another potential nor'easter for Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  Not much you can do about it so we will wait and see what happens. Adios for nowl |
