This old Christmas Cactus has been handed down for years. I got it from the Mother of a exotic bird breeding friend from South Africa. When her mother became ill and she knew she was not going to recover, she ask me to take the plant and enjoy it as much as she did.
It had no name and over the years I have tried to identify it by asking many professionals their opinion.

It is very different from the hybrids of today being smaller in stem and flower size. It blooms later beginning in December and continues thru February. Many stems have no points and yet you will see one pop up here and there making it a definite hybrid, not a pure Christmas Cactus. Therefore, we have come up with this name for it: Schlumbergera x buckleyi 'Petra's Pink' noid - the old fashion Christmas Cactus.
No matter what her name is, I just love it because it was given to me by a very special lady, who loved her birds and plants as much as I do.

This Cubit has been inactive for several years due to the fact that JB had a slight accident and had to sell all her plants and close her business. She has been slow recovering and anxious to again share her passion for plants in 2020.
