Sally, I like the Pothos but I'd like it even more if it just grew rapidly up the trees and then stopped growing. Unfortunately, it won't co-operate. As soon as the runners hit the ground they sprout roots and take off.

All coconuts are edible, it's all the one species, Cocos nucifera, but many different varieties.

Adina, my father was a very keen gardener so I guess that's where my obsession comes from.

Rachel, don't wear yourself out going back over old ground. I'm just about ready to start off the second part of the garden stroll.

It's a jungle out there

Well, that is the effect I'm trying to achieve. This cubit is a tale of plants, of gardens, my continuing tussle with Mother Nature, and life in our tropics.
