Hello Folks, Laura and I took a walk around the neighborhood last evening. The sun is going down around 10:30pm now so the angle of the evening sun gives nice shadows for photography. All of these images were taken within a short walking distance on the trails near our home. Many of the later flowers have not made their appearance yet. These are basically the perennial plants of spring ... we didn't take the time to photograph the commercial productions that people purchase to decorate their yards ... that will come later. I'll post more flowers and other items as the weekend goes along ... we'll be visiting a local greenhouse in "Indian," about 30 miles south of here, this afternoon. Will likely have some images from that. Remember our veterans on this Memorial Day. Love your eye for capturing beauty, Jon! Do you ever save images you'd rather not share on the Web. I mean some really special shots you'd like to show for competition or sell? A friend of mine does this. "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." --Albert Einstein ~ All Things Plants, SOUTHWEST GARDENING ~Cubits.org ENERGY & POWER |

Hello Aguane and others, Thank you. I take your comment as a complement. The images I post here are in small format and will not reproduce well in these sizes. Any of them are available in larger formats, but I often just give them away on request. I also use many as gifts for special occasions. I have done prints for sale, but it's more of a hobby than commercial effort. As you suggest, I have a fair volume of images as I go out "shooting" often ... a large number of the images are "cliche's" or "snapshots" ... some of them are worth sharing. In the "old days" it was a common thought that if one got one "good shot" from one roll of 36 then that was a pretty good ratio. Likely, the ratio is much higher. Let’s continue on a new page … there’s too much scrolling here. I’ll have some new photos of decorative flowers from yesterday.
