Hello Ed, I worked in the canneries during my teens ... long hours, tedious work. Seemed like lots of money back then, but when you're young, what do you know? When the fish were in, there was no spare time from the slime line, cold storage or ice house. Ever drop a frozen salmon on your cold feet when you haven't slept for a day or two? Wakes you up real fast. Sometimes the "good old days" are best left in the past ... but they make for good stories today. I worked for charter boats, too. We'd throw black bass, tom cod and scraps for eagles for the tourists to get photos, but that wasn't for our photographic pleasure. Usually, the sea gulls were lots faster than the eagles in getting scraps.
