Hello Folks, I got a very pleasant note from CLUSIANA ... who has a strong interest in Irises. In the Spring, Alaska has fields (acres and acres) of wild Alaskan Iris, especially in a place called Eklutna Flats. My wife and I don't miss the opportunity to get out and make some images of them. (There are many other kinds of flowers there, too .... perhaps I'll post studies of the others at another time.) So ... while I hope everyone enjoys these, Clusiana, these Irises are for you! (She has posted a wonderful page devoted to the varieties of Irises Go here: http://cubits.org/irisforum/thread/view/31401/) Uh ... Okay ... the last one is NOT an Iris. It's a "Magpie Columbine" ... it's my namesake. How could I resist? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Magpie" Jon Alaska images at the Magpie cubit - go to Alaska Photos and Commentary: http://cubits.org/Magpie/thread/view/42616/ Also Post under "Jon Deisher" on FB, LinkedIn & G+ (If you need an invitation, let me know) |
