|Low lying fog banks ... basically pretty clear away from the water. The thermal mass of the inlet warm water generates lots of fog when in contact with the cold arctic air. Gives a "sleepy look" over the inlet and the rivers (nice photographic opportunities there) but it's clear and bright over land. You can see the clear skies over the first image and the fog at the base of the mountain ... the fog is over the Matanuska River ...
