So ... what'dya think?
Might could be, Shar. Family roots there 'bouts go back to about 1820 ... and thar's lota "Dasher" kin in the hollers and the Western fringe of VA's stateline with West VA and Kentucky. Related family names are Circle (Americanized from Zerkle) and Kayser/Kaiser ... mostly Pennsylvania Dutch that moved south before the war and Swiss from the German regions of Switzerland. I've done a fair amount of internet digging into the VA genealogical records ... amazing what one can find. I found a signature of my Great G' Grandfather on a document circa 1890s identifying him as a war disabled pensioner/farmer ... received a pension as a Civil War disabled veteran from VA to his death in the early 1900s.
