| Hello Folks, Happy Father's day to those who recognize those things. I've always liked the expression that any idiot can become a father but it takes a real man to be a daddy! Real men love their children's mother ...  Father's day for most is the day you support Madison Avenue's marketing of cards, soap-on-a-rope, after shave, and then he takes everyone out to dinner where they want to go. Daddy's Day is when you give the ol 'man a hug, serve up a plate of warm cookies with a glass of milk, or maybe a beer and pretzels (depending on the Dad,) and let him watch the game in peace ...Was down in Homer for a couple of days ... beautiful day by Homer standards, partly cloudy, warmish, windy ... Took the following images for your review. The little feather was down on the beach, caught in a twig or grass stem and just fluttering in the wind ... found the shell and the salt pea blossoms and made a nice shot ... the eagles don't like to fly in the wind if they can help it, so they'll sit long enough for a portrait. Sitting eagles are kind of a cliche' but I thought the "wind blown look" was okay. Enjoy the day.
