Ronnie, I start out with good intentions and then get busy with other gardening chores and some times don't complete all the information. I find the goggle spreadsheet pretty handy as I can arrange it alphabetically or arrange it by sowing date with just a click. I can also print it out. And the best part is, it's free!
I just add colors so it is easy to follow the line and see.

I think I'll look into that...I like the way it looks.

I'm still sowing seeds and having a tough time of it with this wind, the past two weeks.
Budgie, please accept a belated welcome from me. I'm thrilled to see a gardener from Delaware. You may be our first. Ronnie, I've got some nice sprouts on some of the MG seeds you gave to me.
The ones I'm really excited about are the variegated Heliopsis Lorraine. I can't wait for them to get big enough to go out into the beds. It is sooooooo green out there now that most of the tulips are done.

I'm still waiting for the Delphinium "Pagan Purple" to get big enough to go into the garden. At this point, I may not bed putting them in the ground until the fall.
Allison, did you get any of that Lupin, Morello Cherry from Summerhill?

I was really behind this year with so many life things going on and then a severe case of sciatica....think it's too late to toss out a few zinnia? I just found some new ones I bought that I forgot I had.

Thanks, Allison. I'm still waiting to put the Lupines in the ground too. It's so dry in the beds and I'm getting tired of lugging water and dragging hoses. I'd like to wait another week or two until they are a little bigger.
Ronnie, I've never grown Zinnia from seed. What do you have to lose? I'd go ahead and try them. Just keep the ground wet. I planted some Parsley seeds last week and they are sprouting..
think it rained twice... so I would say yes lack of rain is possible.. last year too much.. this year not enough... I watered every garden this morning... looks like I did not now... amazingly dry

Absolutely nothing that I direct sowed in the beds this spring germinated. There was no way for me to keep the sopil moist enough. It was so windy most days, that it kept getting later and later with the seed sowing. I did get some good germination from Herbs and veggies that I sowed in pots and troughs, Mostly because I watered them 3 times a day. I tried to keep them moist enough that the thin soil covering wouldn't blow away.
