Where do you do all of your work? What surfaces and storage units do you use? Did you make your own? What would you like to have?

I'm afraid my potting bench is nowhere near as neat and pretty as Holly's wonderful potting shed. This is how it most often looks when I'm out there working. I absolutely love this work station and don't know how I did without it.

I would take either of them!

What I really need is something with running water so I stop coming into the kitchen with mucky hands and mucky plants in the sink...

Sheryl, DSO bought me one of those hose fed plastic sinks and mounted it on a board that swings off of the outside of the deck flloor. It has a cover that slides open, so that leaves don't get in and clog it. It's a handy thing. My water line splicing valve is right above it, so if I have a sprinkler running, I just close that off for a second. From that valve he also ran me another hose, which is about 20' long and you can see it hanging by a hook on my potting bench. I keep a galvanized tub off to the side of the bench, when I do a lot of potting and immerse the plants or water them over the tub. In that photo, it's lurking upside down off to the left side of the bench covering an open bag of peat. That's the square galvanized tub. I have a round one too. I love those things.

Stormy, That is a really nice potting shed. Mine hasn't looked that neat since Ric built it. I use it a lot and just love having it. Surprising how much protection that little roof overhang gives me. I have been out there when it is raining and I can store my tools and things in it all winter.
Sheryl, That new hose that Jamie installed for me this year is right next to the potting shed. Sure makes it nice to have water right there handy when you are doing things and to easily water the new small pots.

I think I might have to rig something up out in our garage. We actually have running water out there, so it wouldn't be a big deal, I don't think.

Sheryl, those plastic outdoor sinks come in some very small sizes. You could probably set one up in the garage and wouldn't need a larger one with a cover. But you do need somewhere for the water to drain. You could just run a short hose from it under your garage door for the summer. I got my tiny one, which I no longer use and gave to my neighbor for about $35 on Ebay.

Actually, I bought an old Sears 2 sided laundry tub for $10 bucks at a garage sale last year, thinking that I would put it in my greenhouse - not realizing that space is a biiiiig deal in gh's. So I could use that, with a bucked under the drain - actually could even use the drain out there, it just goes to my pasture.

Ya'll got me thinking....

Sheryl, Did you put the greenhouse in, or did it come with the property?

Nope, we put it in, but it's probably not the nice kind of GH ya'll are thinking about. It's more of a nursery 'hoop house' - rounded top with a double layer of sheet plastic over it. When we moved here there was a small swimming pool that I refused to keep up, so it went in that spot once it was gone. *First* mistake - in a low area, so it can get really wet in there.

One of these days maybe I'll get my Victorian conservatory... Thumbs up

What's wrong with a hoop house? Do you put any kind of a heater in it?

I finally got one, but it's only for taking the edge off of really cold nights in Feb when my tomatoes and peppers are just getting their starts. I won't try to heat through the winter or anything.

Maybe you will get your Victorian Conservatory when I get mine. Hurray! Hurray!
We have planned to have one for years but every year something seems to happen and we still haven't gotten started on it. Sigh.............Well one of these years I will see the reality of one.

Pam has a greenhouse. We've got to get her to show us what kind she has.

Allison has one now too. Least I'm pretty sure it's finished now.

Holly, didn't Allison post photos of hers somewhere? Maybe on a project thread?

LOL, Allison Need we ask what those little furry things in it are? Hilarious! Hilarious! The greenhouse seems sized to the Yorkies perfectly!! It's really a nice looking one. Will you be using your same plant racks in it, or are you using something else?

Allison, So, now are you just using your tall rolling racks indoors for your seed starting now?
