Wow, Sally, That's a milestone for you for sure. It's great that you've got a good instructor. That helps a lot. Good luck with it. I hope thaT YOU Can keep it up. ![]() Deb, Those BSA events sound like fun. Having JR and the pooch will make it a lot of fun. How many miles are in the marathon? Ronnie, Good luck on your kickboxing. What surgery did you have? Something for your back? Last week I started back doing some core body stregthening. It felt pretty good. My neck is always so stiff, it makes driving hard. This thread is a good motivator to get me back to doing it again. I have to go back to the therapist to rebuy the balance balls as they were casualties of the fire. I have to see if they will give me one session without a perscription because I forget some of the exercises and my cheat sheet got burned too. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Autism fun walk is a mile or two, the MS walk is 4 miles, the harrisburg half is 13.5 miles:) I am going to try to find a back pack for the poochy:) She really does have tiny legs...but since she weighs so little I should be able to carry her no problem:) mama of a 7yr old Wolf Scout. wife of wonderful hubby of 9 yrs:) Secretary of Pack Committee 284 Asst Den Leader,PTO mama,SAHM |

Class was good this morning, not a lot of kickboxing more cardio dance which was great. Stormy I had a discectomy in February, sciatica got to the point of almost crippling me, couldn't put up with it any longer. Working now on trying to get my back as strong as I can, slowly but surely. Gotta do it, I have lots of gardening to catch up on from not being able to do as much last year ![]() It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. Ouch Ronnie, sounds painfiul. ![]() I need to replace my Rolling Stones collection soon so that I can resume my dancing around the house. I always love doing that. ![]() |

:0 That is one thing I enjoy...dancing around the house is sooo much fun. I would love to be able to use my wii...but Jamie never hooked it up with the new tv...so since I can't move the tv to get to the ports...I can't use it...and keep forgetting to tell Jamie to get to it:) I'm a bit nervous...tomorrow I go for my physical...its been about a year since my last one...right before surgery...and I have to do this because of our BSA leader training in April and May. I'm a lil worried that he won't want to sign the weight excemption on the med form, but since I know their are men taking this who are much more out of shape and a lot heavier than me...I hope they leave me alone:) mama of a 7yr old Wolf Scout. wife of wonderful hubby of 9 yrs:) Secretary of Pack Committee 284 Asst Den Leader,PTO mama,SAHM |

I'm sure that if you talk to him, he will be amenable. ![]() |

yeah...that is what I'm hoping. he's really nice and he is the one who helped me get the surgery in the first place...he knows what I've been through..and he hasn't seen me since right after the surgery...so he should be surprised:) I think I look better than I did:) mama of a 7yr old Wolf Scout. wife of wonderful hubby of 9 yrs:) Secretary of Pack Committee 284 Asst Den Leader,PTO mama,SAHM |

Good!! Just tell him what you've been doing lately to shape up. He'll probably be thrilled. |

Sal, That's a new one for me. I never heard of Zumba, but it sounds like a lot of fun. |

There are quite a few Zumba classes at my gym, it's very popular. I like it for the high energy but they don't cue you to what the next step is, all hand signals. After all these years of being told what to do next I don't want to have to figure it out on my own ![]() It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. There are all kinds of zumba CD's you can do at home. Just like the old Jane Fonda videos. ![]() Life is Great! Holly Please visit me and learn more about My Life on the Water a Personal Journey Thread in the MidAtlanticMusings Cubit. http://cubits.org/MidAtlanticMusings/thread/view/5752/ |

There may be a Zumba session available on the Exercise on Demand on the TV. I will check it out. A lower keyed version of it sounds like it would be right up my alley. Ronnie, I know exactly what you mean by that. ![]() I was very fond of my Richard Simmons Sweating to the Oldies tapes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I didn't want to sound too negative. Its just really hard to go in to that particular thing having no clue. It would be helpful to learn movements individually then put them together. after Zumba was a class using the huge balls and some hand weights, she called it Balance. Thats what I need but I just couldn't stand another hour of being the dummy that day. I like the music of the Group Power class. Some older stuff (Oh Sherry, Sweet Caroline, Born to be Wild) and new stuff (by Pink, Rhianna, Four Minutes by madonna) and the loud beat keeps you on pace. The insructor is us there with heavy bars of course and often besides doing all the moves she is tapping the toe of her show What energy! Then last week they did a session with an extra instructor, talked about proper form and checked everyone in class. Such a good team we have..
