I like the "design" - may copy it when I decide to make another pedestal. Thumbs up I'm still going to try to make one out of the foam insulation we have kicking around - it's cheap AND lightweight! It's not going outside, using it for interior display, but I've still got to figure out what I can use for paint that won't melt the foam. Confused

Randy said WATER based Kills primer SHOULD keep the foam from melting... this video shows drylock works as well.. she used pink foam as well

I love how much Randy gets into this decorating stuff. It's really neat. Do you have much to straighten out from the wind and rain?

Those gargoyles are scary looking even in the house, in the light! I think those pedestals are really neat though, great color!

Stormy - I need one of those black cat cutouts! Big Grin

I wonder if they use strands of like Christmas lights (ya know, with the larger bulbs ?) to light up all those pumpkins. Seems to me if they're all in rows like that you could just cut holes in the back of each one, insert a bulb, string on to the next and repeat like hundreds of times! Hilarious!

Here's the only pix I have ready. We have carved one pumpkin so far, but I haven't taken a photo yet. This is our *made to order* Halloween lookin' cat, Shadow.

Aw, Shadow is so pretty (somewhere in there, lol) - I had a black cat for almost 20 years and I miss him still.

LOL Chelle, I'm so far behind this year that I haven't even pulled all of the boxes of halloween stuff out yet. It's been too hot to think about it.
Oh Well, I suppose that will be next weekend's job.

I don't carve pumpkins or put out gourds or corn anymore, because the voles eat every last inch of them. Grumbling

But you will want to hang around to watch Allison's display creations. She won her township's first prize last year. I tip my hat to you.

Very beautiful kitty. Big Grin

I'll be around for sure! Big Grin

Those darn voles! I have some too, I think. Not happily.

That last one was for the spooky eyes effect. The whole cat isn't nearly as eerie! LOL

Why.....that little rascal!

We have a lot of wildlife that come into our yard but so far none have eaten the pumpkins.

Something has knocked one over a time or two, but no chewing.

Chelle, When I go to clean them up at the end of the season, they are completely hollow inside from the bottom up. They even eat the seeds!! Every single kernel of corn will be gone too.

Chelle, I meant to tell you that the Black Cat came from Jo Ann Fabrics. They always have neat seasonal decorations and our good friend Allison is always posting printable coupons for them in our bargains forum.
