I'm falling behind getting things done. This Grumbling rain. What beautiful pots you got Stormy. Most of my pots don't look like anything yet.
Lets see I planted my deck boxes a week ago with geraniums, Swedish ivy, verbena and I have a hanging pot done with the same combo. I think you have already seen my swan planter. Your stand with the terracotta pots reminds me of this little one I picked up and planted with succulents and then there are the big blue strawberry pots. Very please with these we will see how they look as they grow in.

Lovely Holly- Esp those big blue pots of succulents. Way cool!

I'm not a big pot person that way but I have two pots that flank my front door. All they have this year are a Dracaena spike and then Mini Max Pink petunias from seed that Jill gave out in February. I think they'll be nice. Petunias have a bit to go before they bloom and fill out.

Holly, love love love what you did with the strawberry pots. Your little iron plant rack is cute,. I tip my hat to you. That is a verry nice combo in your coir basket and deck boxes. I never think to use Swedish Ivy.

My cement planters out front are giving me a problem. I planted them last week. With all of this rain, they have really taken a beating. They are on either side of the front door at the edge of the stair landing. There is a small roof over the door and the water seems to drop off of the roof and really pound the heck out of the one planter. A bunch of the spoil is missing and a few plants too.

I keep meaning to look out there in a downpour to see if I can find a better spot, but I keep forgetting about it when it's really pouring. Angry Now it might not all be the rain either. The Teaser Cat has been spotted hanging out on the front steps a few times. It's possible that she dug in the pot.

Here's another of those calibroacha baskets that I bought. This one was $13. It's red white & blue. I put it out at the front of the steps for Memorial day.

Yesterday when I went to fix the plants in my cement basket out front I discovered that the soil was overrun with two kinds of bugs.. One set are these really tiny little red bugs. They are so small that I can't even tell what kind of bugs they are. the others are those type of bugs that curl up into a ball. I haven't noticed any of these bugs in any soil in my other pots.

I'm wondering if I should trash that planting and start over again. Any thoughts?

The rolly poly bugs have been in my dirt for years and I've never had a problem. The red ones could be spider mites Confused

I never saw red spider mites before and I never had them outdoors before. Do you think I should spray some kind of bug killer on it?
