I bought some orchids at the flea market in Fla a couple years ago. They grew ok the first year, but too much neglect and probably a bit too chilly in the greenhouse over the winter. Maybe I'll get another for the house this year. They have common varieties at the flea markets - and only $5-6 for a nice sized blooming plant.
I agree, Ronnie - using a macro lens has totally changed my perspective on flowers, too. They're even more amazing than I used to think. This is a macro of a Passionflower, I might have posted it before on DG.
