Oh, very nice. Is that your garden, lol?

I'm wondering if you took any with your aperture a little higher.... I bet it was too dark.

I like it Karen Thumbs up

Sheryl love the shot of the Virgin Thumbs up

Stormy some of the best advice I got about macro was from someone at Dave's, I can post the link if you like or copy and paste it. Using a tripod helps if your hands aren't steady but I find them very restricting. Who wants to lug it around the yard. I hold my breath a lot Hilarious!
It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

Thanks Ronnie. That's a good idea. I can look on DG. I wouldn't copy any of their text on here without the writer's permission.

That's amazing.

Ronnie, if this helps - I learned when I qualified to shoot a handgun that your hands are steadiest not when you're holding your breath, but the second after you exhale.

I'm going for the tripod, lol. I have a remote that I want to use - also very helpful to maintain steadiness.

That makes sense Sheryl since you can feel yourself relax when you actually do that Smiling

Sheryl... I did not take any with a higher aperture. I was aiming to have only one of the busts in focus, instead of all of them. I wish I could have had a higher viewpoint though.

That is Chatham Manor in Fredericksburg, VA.

Those are beady eyes too. Very spooky!! There are spiders everywhere now. Lots of good photo ops. Maybe that's why they are always included as Halloween items, they come inside this time of year.

Karen, didn't you post some photos of that beautiful garden wall before? I seem to remember a similar scene, but from a frontal view
