It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...
My gracious J! Wonderful shot! I haven't yet taken one where the wings are clear, they're always blurry. I really enjoyed those.
I just noticed that too Stormy - spider webs everywhere! Sometimes the webs seem to be rebuilt in a matter of hours. Definitely time to start walking with a hand up in front of my face to catch them before they catch me.
Ok did a small experiment today with 2 stinkbugs and 2 covered cups...one with cinnamon...didn't even phase him/her but the peppermint extract almost killed him/her instantly...now to test if I can just spray around the doors/window and they will stay away or some peppermint sprigs or peppermint extract on cottonballs...???? I'll let ya know

Gosh Jen, You'll become famous if you can find a good deterrent for those pests. They still haven't really shown up here yet this year. Yuk Yuk I'm dealing with mice already this year!! Caught two in the garage already.
J Those photos are truly stupendous.
Chelle, I even found spider webs growing on the grass.

These are fabulous! I've used them exclusively since they came out. They catch the mice very effectively - but never your fingers! A little dab of el cheapo peanut butter and you're all set! Intruder Mousetraps (at Amazon).
The three I started out with several years ago are still going strong. They seem like they're going to last a long time. I just soak 'em in a bucket of bleach water every so often to disinfect them.

They look interesting Allison, I hate the guts and gore, especially first thing in the morning

Nope, just making sure of what we're talking about. Those look like Aphids to me. At first I thought maybe they were Oleander Aphids, Aphis nerii - but they don't appear to have black legs. I haven't actually found out which ones these are but the butterfly plant seems to be a favored food source.
